The music video for Break Off just dropped. It was a cool music video. I’m a fan of the 2013~2016 vibe. Jean is the youtube thumbnail this time, which I’m really happy about haha.


On first watch I was like “damn is this about fighting against AI?” and later, it was confirmed that yes, the music video is about a society being controlled by AI and breaking free from it. It made me very happy that this was explicitly confirmed and is something they’ll further elaborate on in interviews. And guess who came up with this concept… right, right…. It was Tsuyoshi. I’m not surprised! This is why you’re my favorite!!!



It really tells you the state of the world that when I watched the MV, I was just sooo glad that the animation and everything was all made by humans, and I was so happy to see the long ass credits crediting all the 3d artists and vfx artists that worked on the MV. The bar is in hell. But still, I’m really really happy that they made an anti-AI themed MV and paid real artists instead of using AI, even when Supadora isn’t a very big idol group with like heaps of money or anything. And like, in this age when so many idol groups are using AI in their MVs? And to make such a statement in Japan, one of the top 3 countries with the highest percentage of AI users? In Japan, where people can’t express a goddamn opinion?


Not that I had any doubts that Tsuyoshi or Supadora would be against AI as creatives, it’s just nice to know that this theme was important enough to Tsuyoshi to want to put it in his art and music.


Music wise, Break Off still isn’t my favorite single, but there’s a lot of things I can appreciate about it, and I think the choreography and MV really made up for a lot of things for me.

I woke up today to the news of Jean's absence in tomorrow's upcoming concert due to him having a fever, which made me very worried and sad. Jean is lowkey notorious for being the member who’s like, idk, really healthy? Him and the other members often talk about how he has a really good sleep schedule, workout schedule etc, so to hear that he got sick was really shocking. At the same time though, idk if he has a good work life balance, he’s kind of a workaholic. In fact, one of the last things he said in his fanclub gc recently was that he spent the whole weekend working and making music. It makes me really sad when Super Dragon doesn’t perform with their full team, but it’s also relieving to know that they put their member’s health first. I really hope you get well soon, Jean!

The auto scrolling thing on the main page has been fixed. Somehow. After I looked into it, it actually wasn’t because of my script or DOMcontentloaded at all, I think it had to do with my CSS grid layout. But anyway, if you happen to have the same problem as me, all I did was add this to body to fix it.
