The members of SUPER★DRAGON are very involved in the production of their own group, from music making to outfit styling to graphic design/art, and more. They have a reputation of being "bad kids" who love to mess around. They are, in their own words, "very stubborn" when it comes to doing things their own way, sometimes to their own detriment in the idol industry. A core belief that they all share is “to have fun”, and they often treat their concerts and performances like “playing”. It is common for member Tsuyoshi to sign off the end of their live performances by saying “come play with us again next time, ‘kay?”
Despite their “wild” or bad boy image, the entire group is actually very introverted. Having grown up together, the members are as close as family and can be loud and love to joke around, but on the flipside, since they are so relaxed around each other they can be very quiet and "low energy", often not caring about the camera. They have a reputation of keeping to themselves, often hesitant to socialize with other artists or fellow groups backstage (which leads to the common misconception that they are “scary”). Fans often describe the boys as 内弁慶 (uchibenkei), or “haughty like a lion at home, meek like a mouse when outside”, which the boys themselves have humorously acknowledged.

99% rapper. Only ever sings on special occasions. Known for his fast and hard-hitting raps and using difficult words.
The dancers sometimes sing in certain songs, for example in their sub-unit albums. The dance members currently have two songs of their own: SAWAGE, which was made for them by Tomoya and Jean, and NEBOU which was made for them by Tsuyoshi and Jean. They also sometimes sing during the special "SHUFFLE" segment in SUPER★

FIRE DRAGON
A sub-unit consisting of the four oldest members: Reo, Tsuyoshi, Jean and Hayate. As of now, Fire Dragon’s music tends to lean more towards R&B with influences from American pop music. Although they are the older group, they have young spirits and love to joke around a lot.
THUNDER DRAGON
A sub-unit consisting of the five youngest members: Sougo, Koki, Hyoma, Tomoya and Raku. As of now, Thunder Dragon’s music tends to be more house and K-pop inspired. They are described as being surprisingly more mature than Fire Dragon, despite being the younger group.
Unofficial names for duos that are commonly used by fans and the members themselves.
SHIMAI (Hyoma + Raku)
Hyoma + Raku are often called 姉妹 (shimai) or “sisters” when they are together. This is mostly self-explanatory considering their feminine presentations, but Hyoma has explicitly mentioned that Raku is like a little sister to him.
TanakaTomoya (Koki + Tomoya)
Comes from an official tweet. They are also often (even individually) called 悪友, "akuyuu" which means "friend who is a bad influence on you", or a "partner in crime".
NYANDER (Hayate + Raku)
The group’s two cat lovers. When they are together, they call themselves ニャンダードラゴン “Nyander Dragon” (from "meow" + "thunder") or simply Nyander, a name that Hayate came up with.
227 (Tsuyoshi + Koki)
Tsuyoshi and Koki, who share the same birthday, are often called “birthday twins”, or simply 227 (February 27th).
AruMede (Hyoma + Tsuyoshi)
The duo consisting of Tsuyoshi and Hyoma is often called アルメデ "AruMede", which was the name of their duo unit when they released the duet song "Sunflowers in Winter" in 2016. The story of the song was based on the characters named Aruki and Medes from the novel “Songs and Lyrics” by zopp.
tsuyojean_official (Tsuyoshi + Jean)
When referring to Tsuyoshi and Jean as a duo they are called “TsuyoJean”, often with “official” added at the end as a joke, which comes from the name of their joint instagram account that they made together in 2017. They are known for being something of a comedy duo and are always up to no good when together.
HokuMugi (Sougo + Tomoya)
Comes from the time they did a joint instagram live and they respectively said the words "Hokkyoku" (North Pole) and "Mugicha" (Barley tea), which was combined into "HokuMugi". Their dynamic is that of a nerd (Sougo) and a bully (Tomoya) lol.
NekoTetsu (Raku + Sougo)
Also originated from a joint instagram live. Comes from neko (cat) for Raku and tetsu (railway) for Sougo.
